Artist
Biography
Pamela
Callender is an environmental artist, art curator and educator
working in Sarasota, Florida since 1972. Her artistic career
has evolved from dance to Eco Art with growing concentration
on wildlife habitat restoration.
Pamela
is
a specialist in native landscape design for west coast Florida
and
an adjunct professor of Eco Art History at Eckerd College,
St. Petersburg, Florida. A 2019 recipient of the John Ringling
Towers Grant earning Fellowship with The Hermitage in Englewood,
Fl., she completed a Visual Art degree from Eckerd College
in St. Pete, Fl. and Master of Fine Art in Interdisciplinary
Art from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vt.
Pamela
has served the Sarasota area community with volunteer work
as Art Curator for Fogartyville Arts Center, at Osprey Junction
Trailhead Sarasota County Park Visitor Center, and Chairperson
of the Beautification Committee in Kensington Park Civic
Association.
